black & white previews
All colour images are also available as black & white prints. The b&w previews offered here are produced by simply desaturating the image via Javascript. The result is a neutral b&w preview which may appear flat or too dark/bright. Before printing, however, each image is individually assessed and adjusted for best contrast, tonal quality, and dynamic range.

This exhibit represents the atrocities commited by the Spanish conquistadors, defiling the pre-hispanic art obtects, in this case an image of the deity of the earth `Doce caña`, and supplanting it with their own religious symbolisms (the cross). Through this religious cleansing process, the Spanish destroyed or mutilated most of the original artefacts.
