black & white previews
All colour images are also available as black & white prints. The b&w previews offered here are produced by simply desaturating the image via Javascript. The result is a neutral b&w preview which may appear flat or too dark/bright. Before printing, however, each image is individually assessed and adjusted for best contrast, tonal quality, and dynamic range.

Origami paper cranes in Hiroshima
Some of these paper cranes were folded by 12-year old Sasaki who fell sick with leukaenmia in 1955. On her sick bed she started to fold the cranes in the hope that she would be cured once she reached 1000. She died before reaching her goal but her classmates continued after her death and built this memorial.
