black & white previews
All colour images are also available as black & white prints. The b&w previews offered here are produced by simply desaturating the image via Javascript. The result is a neutral b&w preview which may appear flat or too dark/bright. Before printing, however, each image is individually assessed and adjusted for best contrast, tonal quality, and dynamic range.

The Centromerkur building in Ljubljana
The Centromerkur building in Ljubljana
Built from 1902–1904 the centromerkur was the first modern department store in Ljubljana. A narrow front with the entrance from Prešeren Square forms the main façade decorated by a flower canopy. The Secession façade indicates the influence of Vienna, while the interior is closer to Parisian Art Nouveau, the influence of which can also be seen in the design of the canopy and the entrance.
